Free shipping forever starts March 25
Barclaycard US and L.L.Bean are enhancing rewards that can be earned from the L.L.Bean card program.
Starting March 25, cardmembers will receive double rewards on everyday purchases made with L.L.Bean Visa cards -- for those transactions "away" from L.L. Bean. Now, cardmembers will earn one percent everywhere Visa is accepted and three percent on L.L.Bean purchases in addition to other member benefits such as free monogramming and free returns.
In conjunction with the card program enhancement, L.L.Bean is also announcing free standard shipping forever for all customers. Customer orders will ship free within the U.S. and Canada with no minimum purchase or expiration date.
The company founder introduced the concept of free shipping in 1912 by adding "post paid" in the catalog copy. The tradition of free shipping now returns as L.L.Bean nears its centennial anniversary.
Since the Barclaycard US program\'s launch in 2008, cardmembers received free shipping of merchandise from L.L.Bean with no minimum purchase as a card benefit.
