Five winners awarded dream trips in American Express® Card Sweepstakes
Barclaycard US, Travelocity and American Express revealed the five lucky consumers who were awarded once-in-a-lifetime trips to Chile, New Zealand, South Africa, Switzerland and Orlando in the Travelocity Rewards American Express® Card Sweepstakes. The winners were announced September 24 via Webcast.
The promotion ran during the summer and was designed to celebrate the launch of the Barclaycard US Travelocity Rewards American Express® Card. The winners were announced by two former contestants, Caite Upton and Jordan Lloyd, on the Amazing Race. Grand prize winners will be outfitted with their own Travelocity Roaming Gnome and digital camera so they can document their trip and share photos on the Travelocity Website.
The new Travelocity Rewards American Express® Card carries an annual fee of $39. Cardmembers have a comprehensive, easy-to-use program that allows them to earn five points for every dollar spent at Travelocity. In addition, cardmembers earn two points for every dollar spent in a selected category - restaurant, groceries or gas - and one point for every dollar spent on all other purchases.
Compared to other mileage programs, the Travelocity Rewards American Express® Card allows cardmembers to redeem their points faster, and for more value. For example, while other airline mileage programs commonly require consumers to redeem a minimum of 25,000 miles on "saver awards," Travelocity makes reward travel easier with no restrictions.
