Barclaycard US was named one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for 2009. Barclaycard US maintains a customer contact center in Wilton, Maine where 100 colleagues provide customer support services. The center opened in April 2008.
The awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) - Maine State Council. The "Best in the Business" program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Maine, benefiting the state\'s economy, its workforces and businesses.
"We are thrilled to be recognized as a Best Place to Work in Maine," said Jen McEntee, Director, Wilton Care Center. "This is a real validation of our hard work to ensure that we have a comfortable work environment, provide opportunity for career development and give our colleagues the opportunity to help the community."
Barclaycard US will be recognized and honored as one of the Best Places to Work in Maine at an awards ceremony on October 13 and will be profiled in a special publication by Mainebiz. The final rankings will be announced at the event.
