Wilton, ME Expansion Begins

12/23/08

To accommodate plans to grow to more than 100 colleagues by the end of the first quarter of 2009, Barclaycard US is literally tearing down walls to make room.  Renovation began at the facility at 120 Weld Road in Wilton when the Customer Care Center hosted a wallbreaking ceremony on Dec. 13 to celebrate the kickoff of the second floor expansion.

Joining the ceremony were Gil Riley of the Wilton Development Corporation, Alison Hagerstrom from the Greater Franklin Development Corporation, State Representative Tom Saviello, and Patty Ladd from the Wilton Career Center.  Barclaycard colleagues from Delaware included Tom Frosina and Ryan Paczkowski.

A small celebration followed the official wallbreaking. Construction continued that night while relationship managers were at the Wilton holiday party.  Construction is expected to be completed by mid January 2009.
