The Barclaycard US Care Center in Wilton, Maine was host to three Maine political leaders on Oct. 3. U.S. Senator Susan Collins, State Senator Walter Gooley and State Representative Tom Saviello were on hand for a presentation and tour of the Wilton Retail Center of Excellence. This was a perfect opportunity to provide an overview of Barclays, share the initial business success in Wilton and discuss growth plans for 2009.
During the visit, discussions focused on the talented workforce, state and local government role in helping to make growth in Maine a reality and the retail partnerships served in Wilton, including L.L.Bean. Both Senator Collins and Senator Gooley are L.L. Bean customers and proudly displayed their L.L.Bean Visa cards.
In addition to the tour, the politicians visited the new hire class and Senator Collins engaged the group in a question and answer period. "The visit went extremely well," said Jen McEntee, Customer Service Director. "Colleagues definitely felt positive and engaged by the political leaders\' interest and presence."
